Went for MTU Power Symposium, nice facility
Monstrous complex of interconnected ugly buildings, not at pedestrian scale, which serve no other purpose quite so well as dividing one part of downtown from the other, making foot traffic veer off course for blocks around to get where you're going. Skywalk between City Center Motel and Hickory Street entrance isn't always open, and staffers can be extremely rude to local folks going back and forth during events.
Not a bad seat in the house to watch a hockey game.
