I’ve live here for 2 years and I haven’t had a negative experience. Alan and Kathy are amazing and so nice. They’re there to help make renting an apartment easy. The apartments themselves are the perfect distance away from the MSU campus and have a lot of offer as far as other businesses underneath the apartments. They also have everything you need inside the apartment, which is awesome! Highly recommend living here!!
Extra ultra convenient apt location for MSU students!! You can walk to class in like 5 minutes! Beware if you're not a resident, nor parking to go to one of the businesses here... if you think you can park here and walk across the street to class, you WILL get towed! They always have eyes out watching and will quickly call you in to be TOWED!
The Internet is so poor here I can't get any work done.
But if you want to actually live here, DO IT! It was our favorite place to live in Mankato, and we moved around 4 or 5 times...and as a student it was hella convenient to get to class! Seriously you couldn't get closer if you wanted to live in an apt "off-campus"... and plus it's above tons of restaurant options, seriously the convenience is so worth it...
USquare is the best off-campus place to live for students, partly because you're across the street from campus! It's the best living this close and everyone I talk to wishes they lived this close, and lived above all of the businesses too. Alan and Kathy in the office take care of you too. Whether it's questions, comments, or concerns they'll get things done, and any maintenance requests are done well and in timely fashion! Plus I hear it'll all be remodeled very soon.
Only suckie part is the limited parking for residents... there is the tiny lot in the back, but if you don't get a spot there you have to park in MSU's brown or orange lot or something, whatever it was it seemed incredibly far when hauling groceries from so far away.... we dropped & exploded a gallon of milk or two, trying to haul everything in one trip, from BFE...
You will have to find a few roommates, and make sure they are people you can actually live with... don't just choose crazy people to share your home with or you will be seriously miserable!
All in all these apts are super cute, and absolutely perfect for MSU students to just tromp off to class, bing bang boom, you're just across the street if you forget a book, or sleep in a tad bit too late... no worries!
