It's a pretty good school overall
As a whole I loved the school, the people, the teachers, and the administrators. I hope to go back one day and visit. There is a little work that needs to be done in the quality of education and college preparation but that seems to be in progress. My understanding is they've been reorganizing and changing some curriculum and have given every student a Chromebook. For any one in the Greater Mankato Area, if this school is a possibility for your children I would recommend it. You'll find your children will form great friendships with peers but also teachers who care immensely about them, and they will have many great and character building experiences.
The teachers are great and are really people you can connect to on a personal level. I found myself discussing interesting topics with them, relying on them for support whenever I needed, and really forming a connection. It's something that is really hard to find elsewhere.

Awesome School!!
I can't speak to all students which attend this school, but from what I experienced and saw myself everyone is fairly close and definitely are able to rely on each other. Most people here know respect and will award it when they see it as well. The sporting and other extra curricular events do have their occasional problems but they tend to go well and everyone can find something about at least one of them to enjoy. There's plenty of options of extra curricular activities to join yourself as well, so that's always great for following your passions or increasing your preparation for college.
The one thing I found lacking in some areas was the level of education. Even taking the most rigorous course loads available there was not much present to challenge students and some curriculum was either outdated or not necessarily where it needed to be. The school, although slowly getting better, could also begin to adopt technology at an interesting rate, possibly implementing eventually widespread usage of a learning management system. I learned a great deal there though, and I think my teachers did a fantastic job for the most part.
I went to this high school for the first two years of my high school education and it was not perfect by any means but there was a lot that was great about it and it seems to be the best high school in the surrounding area.
