Would be considerably better if it weren't almost constantly under rennovation, and apparently exempt from enforcement of city and state noise ordinances. Otherwise, there are some rather nice events here.
My favorite park. So many great events in the summer! Also the Mankato Piece is a fond memory for growing up in Kato so I love seeing it.
Great venue... we attended Ribfest and thought it was very nice and a very good bandstand. Had a good time.
We used the shelter to have a picnic lunch. Great view of the river. Everything seemed very well kept. Nice equipment for kids to play on, but nothing for smaller kids. It also had very nice bathrooms and a drinking fountain.
I Love the park... but I feel like they should have separate port a potties for men and women. They get really disgusting! Also the soap and water ran out very early on at Ribfest. Great vendors, food was so good!
