#Update I had to contact them recently again over the neighbors dog being left alone barking and howling. They come by and hear it themselves, stating it was loud too, then they asked me if I tried ear plugs yet? : /
Mankato police are small-town cops that feel emasculated by their badges. As a young college student, i ended up in a number of situations in which I was at odds with the police. They showed no respect whatsoever, ignoring the fact that we're both human beings. I felt powerless up against their disregard for the law's limitations on their power. I was searched without probable cause and they thought they were super powerful because of that. I swear they get high off of subjecting powerless citizens to this kind of treatment. 2 stars because nobody shot me, so I'm doing better than a lot of people in America at this point
I try to contact them to talk to an officer during business hours, get the run around by the automated phone service, never being able to talk to a real person, I half to call 911 their emergency line, just to have an officer call me back for a non emergency. The officer then gives me an unlisted non emergency number that they have had for year, but never posted to the public. I'm really hoping all these years that people didn't die from not being able to get through to 911 because of these such situations.

How do you think mankato is a good place to live when a police officer can shoot a mom in front of her kid while hes saying dont shoot my mom and the police that shot the mom will get away with murder. Which just happened earlier this week.
Called about fireworks being played with, in between trailer-houses and nothing was done...
